A Practical Guide to Grant Readiness Assessments

  • GrantSummit 1515 Wyandotte Street Kansas City, MO, 64108 United States (map)

Are you the latest in your new client's long line of rejected consultants? Are you considering a contract with a new nonprofit client that you're not familiar with? Are you struggling to articulate the reasons your client is stuck in a cycle of funder rejection?

Large or small, new or established… almost every nonprofit has room for improvement when it comes to their grant readiness. In this session, you'll learn how to create a simple, easy-to-understand grant readiness assessment for any client to help them identify the strengths and weaknesses of their organization and programs which may be affecting their ability to secure funding – and provide a clear action plan to ensure you and your client are engaged in a successful grant-seeking partnership.

Participants will hear real-life examples of grant readiness strengths and weaknesses and how they were addressed in partnership with their grant consultant. You'll also receive practical tools to calculate your clients' grant readiness score in a variety of categories and a template for presenting assessments to clients, which is designed to clearly articulate areas of focus and the next steps required to ensure success.
